Arabic commentary on the Gulistān of Saʻdī. In the introduction, the author states that he composed this work for the sultan Muṣtafá ibn Sulaymān (d. 960/1553). The date of composition of the text is left blank in this copy (see fol. 227a: "tamma Sharḥ al-Gulistān fī ākhar"). In other copies at Princeton, it is given as Rabīʻ al-Thānī 957.
